This tried and tested, intensive package works with you in-depth in your care home or care service, enabling your team to understand and embed the highest quality hearing loss practice. It is delivered over a 12-month period.
What components are included?
Audit with report (on policies and procedures, environment, care and communication, hearing aids and equipment) with a proposed action plan to be agreed and implemented by you
Four face-to-face hearing loss training sessions for all staff (2-hour sessions – max 15 participants) further sessions available upon request. To achieve culture change, at least 75% of your front-line care staff need to receive training
Hearing Loss Champions training (one-day course, max 15.) Champions will become skilled in hearing aid maintenance, accessible environments and advocacy for people with hearing loss
Consultancy and support for the organisation’s management team and Champions, face-to-face, online or by phone (approximately 8 hours delivered flexibly over a year)
Why is over 12 months?
You will have the flexibility and time as an organisation to get staff involved, embed new procedures, new ways of working and then assess the impact of the culture change
Cost for Individual care services = £4,700 including face-to-face training @ £33 per participant (per session of 15 staff). There is an option for e-learning if this is preferred. The project can be bespoke to your business
